Param vir chakra Recipients / Winners


Param Vir Chakra     is the highest gallantry award of India for officers and other enlisted personnel of all military branches for the highest degree of valour in the presence of the enemy. Param vir Chakra  is the post-Independence equivalent of the Victoria Cross. 

The Param vir Chakra     was established on 26 January , 1950, by the President Rajendra Prasad , with effect from India's Independence Day - August 15, 1947, and presently it is the second highest award of India     after Bharat Ratna.
